There is No Rest for the Righteous

(Because the Wicked Does Not Rest)

the time that we are presently living in is not different than before God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah

After everything me and my family went through all these years, I thought that I could somehow sit down and relax. I assumed that perhaps I've seen the worst of things, like since I've had more than enough of my fair share of fiery trials and persecution, perhaps Jehovah would not allow any big problem to plague us anymore. But difficulties, persecutions and trials are given so generously to God's already suffering servants like a TV shopping commercial that when you thought you have already seen everything, at the end of each segment you will hear, "but wait, there's more!"

The very difficult but not so shocking reality is that this world we are currently living on is a sick sick world. This place is literally a playground for the demons and their human cohorts and a torture chamber for all the honest-hearted righteous ones who only want to always do what is right and pleasing in Jehovah's eyes to the best of their ability.  If Satan cannot get us to turn our backs on Jehovah through harrowing trials and persecution, he’s going to try and drag us down to the deepest depths of Gehennah using his bait of temptation and sin, most of the time by using our own weaknesses to derail us from the righteous path.

What is really scary for true Christians is that no matter how long you have served God or no matter how much you have sacrificed for Him, the fact remains that with one wrong move, with one wrong decision, one moment of carelessness and miscalculation, you could lose everything- including your place in paradise or your place in heaven. And the present environment in this world today only creates an even more challenging situation for all those who want to keep their godly integrity.  The time we are currently living in now is no different than the time before God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah- a land filled with grossly perverse inhabitants.

Today, humanity's moral compass has been so dysfunctional that majority of the people no longer have regard for what is right or wrong. Many people have no regard for their fellow human beings either.  They make their own rules and they give their own definition of what is good and bad. The lack of high moral standards of many could be compared to a plague. It is similar in the way that it is very contagious for people with low spiritual immune systems and once you contract it, it is very hard to get back to optimum spiritual health; in many cases it is fatal. But what is more scary is that this plague of immorality does not only affect those who are weak in faith but those who are simply careless and choose to continuously expose themselves to the contagious virus and its carriers. Many people around us, even those who have a longstanding good record of faithfulness are not at all immune from having their integrity to God compromised and from being a carrier infecting others with their distorted moral compass.

Eager, Lustful Horses

I don't know what's in the air but so many people now have become so obsessed with sex, it doesn't even apply to teens going through hormonal changes anymore. The very strong urge of the flesh is seen both in the youth and disturbingly, even to those who seem too old for those desires. The trend now is like what we would read in Jeremiah 5:8 when the Bible mentioned that people then were like "eager, lustful horses, each neighing after another man's wife."  I cannot imagine living in an era where people no longer even have the shame to reveal their untamed desires. But here we are. You could go out one day to simply buy a meal at a nearby restaurant and someone approaches you to ask for your name and other personal details and blatantly offer you their indecent proposal. One time (among the others) I was with my husband having dinner at a coffee shop just the other day and an old man interrupted our conversation and kept on hinting that he liked me and maybe he could get me to agree to sleep with him. (Mind you I haven’t even brushed my hair, I was sick, I looked sick and I was wearing decent clothes.) And if you think you can succeed in your chosen field with your hard earned credentials and exceptional abilities, you are awaken to the disturbing truth that the short cut to such a job comes with a price- removing your clothes.  You can go and attend a Kingdom Hall meeting and the environment may not at all be that different, of course most probably it will happen in a more subtle way. Or perhaps you could go in to one of the seemingly holy websites proclaiming "Jehovah! Jehovah!" here and there and yet the very people who use his name very often are the very ones who profane it by their sickening animalistic desires and when you say no and question their actions, you're kicked out of the club and ostracized and discredited as a bitter, envious, delusional person suffering from a personality disorder just because you said no to doing what is wrong.

And just like the usual trend widespread  in the congregations today, once the victim speaks out, the victim's credibility is automatically undermined. The perpetrator, who most usually is also one of the leading men, is then made to appear as the victim and the victim who is already suffering at the moment, will receive even more hate and injustice after having his name tainted so that no one would believe the victim's claims. Same old sickening modus operandi.

When worldly people, as JWs often call non-believers, act in such an unacceptable way we are so quick to point out: “Well this person doesn’t know the Bible truths, this person doesn’t know Jehovah, this person is worldly, what should we expect?” But when it is the very people who uses the name of God in a daily basis, present themselves and preach about the Bible in public who are participating and even pioneering in doing acts of lasciviousness among other filthy deeds, what do we say? Many would be shocked although come to think of it it is not actually a very new thing.  An in-law reminded me recently about how many wicked individuals enjoyed doing detestable things in the eyes of Jehovah in his own very temple.  And that was how many generations ago? How much farther removed is mankind now from perfection, how much more disturbing can seemingly god fearing people behave? You think the not so secret homosexual and bisexual sessions in Bethels is enough? I don’t think so.

But really, I just want to know, what is it with Jehovah's name that makes it so attractive to the most evil, self-serving hypocrites that it has been a favorite past time for them, or should I say their fetish, how about their aphrodisiac, to use his name in vain day and night as a means to devour their prey while disguising themselves from what they truly are?  Can you please enlighten me here Jehovah for once and for all, how you could let these things go on for so long? How could you restraint your indignation from all of these perversity? Is it not your name, you yourself being mocked and profaned to the most extreme levels? And can you please let me borrow even just a small percentage of your tolerance? I can’t put up any longer with these gut clenching habits of people, seriously.

I tried to hold back from asking you to do something because I do not wish to alter whatever your plans are, I did not wish to overstep. But now it has been too much and I know you aren’t happy with it either so now my God, I implore you, Holy and Almighty God Jehovah, Righteous Judge, to please kindly, for your name’s sake take action and bring down the curtains so to speak and put an end to their show!

Contest of Disobedience

“I do not associate with deceitful men, and I avoid those who hide what they are... I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.” (NWT 2013, KJV)  –Psalms 26:4,5

Similar to what I have written in my previous essay, “Patiently Endure Unfair Treatment”, instead of being rewarded or commended for doing what is right, there are times when our decision to obey Bible principles causes us to be hated and ostracized by people who we once considered as friends and associates. That is exactly what we have experienced a year ago.

Come to think of it, will I consent to doing what is so wrong in Jehovah’s eyes only to be a part of the “congregation of evil doers? “ Is any group or organization prestigious enough that I would sacrifice Jehovah’s approval just to be a part of it? Never mind. I did not endure and suffer my entire life just to exchange our life and future as a family in paradise earth for a senseless and gross sin and for the approval of pretentious evildoers who cannot do an inch of what Jehovah can do for me. So I accept the hate, the slander, the insults and the mockeries with open arms. If they come from people who have no regard for Bible principles and do not have approval from Jehovah; why should their opinions be of any value to me even?

“They are puzzled that you do not continue running with them in the same decadent course of debauchery, so they speak abusively of you.” -1 Peter 4:4

Yes it is better for us to be thrown out and cast away again, be slandered and hated exactly just like what our last congregation did to us, than for us to lose our lives and that beautiful future we have always looked forward to. I have somehow gotten used to the trend of being branded as the bad guy when people fail to get what they want from me. But there is nothing more horrifying and unacceptable than how on top of it all, these people could so wrongly accuse that I felt sad and jealous because I failed to take part in their loathsome deed! I cannot imagine how others could be so twisted so as to make themselves believe that I felt deeply crushed because I failed to take home the trophy in their prestigious event, their “contest of disobedience to Jehovah.”  If I ever felt bad about what happened, it was because of seeing someone you once respected fall into a downward spiral motion and render everything he had done for God useless. And how about the feeling of betrayal, being stabbed in the back, being dragged in by someone into doing something only to be left alone mid-air cause you simply aren’t useful for their “other needs.”  Their trophy is all theirs. If I will ever get any recognition, it wouldn’t be for something so gross in the eyes of God. What is so commendable or worthy of envy about committing immorality and destroying the bond of sacred marriage anyway?

We can rightly say that we are not part of this world, not part of the congregation, not part of any other idolatrous or cult-like religious website out there and that’s fine with us. I never fit in anyway. Our family is living in almost total seclusion and given the current highly immoral climate of the world, I guess it is better that way. Better be alone than in bad company as the saying goes. We can and we have given up so many things in this world for the better things, the permanent happiness, the greater blessings that we are hoping to receive in Jehovah’s new world. If the end is really just around the corner, which sure looks like it, then perhaps we can wait a little more.

Perhaps people never liked me and never regarded me as “cool” because I have always been wimpy... wimpy in a way that I’ve always feared doing something wrong, wimpy because I fear failing Jehovah, wimpy because I never had the guts to challenge Jehovah by living a double life despite pressure from relatives and acquaintances. I’d have to admit though that many years ago when I was very young, I failed Jehovah and succumbed to serious wrongdoing and perhaps that is the reason why I have nightmares in my sleep, always fearing that I would be ensnared again into failing God and lose the future I have worked so hard for and his approval which is the only thing giving me peace of mind day and night. I know exactly how it feels like to be ignored by Jehovah, like the doors of heaven are closed shut to my prayers. I know how his displeasure feels and it is something so horrible and so tormenting, it would leave you scarred and traumatized for a long time. There is no sin so worth losing the joy and tranquility that comes with knowing that we have God on our side, watching us and guiding us 24/7.

And although I’ve made mistakes in my life, big and small, just like all of us here, but one thing I try to not become is a hypocrite. I always found it extremely difficult to do something wrong and pretend all the while like God is pleased with me. It’s either I leave Jehovah and cease speaking about him if I cannot live up to his high standards or I try my best to do what is right while I serve him and preach His name publicly. I cannot imagine the skill and talent of people who can blatantly go against the Bible’s rules both in words and in action and have that stunning audacity to proclaim Jehovah’s name like an angel sent down from the heavens. Their ability at multitasking is commendable! They can live double lives, or maybe more. Many who claim to be servants of God and most usually those who claim to be appointed by God into positions of authority seem to think that they are nothing but actors and this world is their stage. They are more than happy with simply doing their job of regularly airbrushing their true character while setting the perfect trap for their new victims. The performances of these actors are all worthy of awards, so believable at times, so convincing they deserve a standing ovation. I don’t know how I can do that. I got to hand it out to them. They are really good. I’m puzzled at how people could be so great at being so evil and looking so holy at the same time. Maybe they think Jehovah is so lame and so slow in punishing that by the time they receive their bill for the wicked things that they’ve done, they are long dead. Or maybe they simply do not believe in Jehovah at all. Who knows? What I do know is this: I do not want to be like them. I do not want to lose my only chance at living forever happily and normally with my loved ones and definitely no sane person who truly loves Jehovah would want to only love Jehovah pretentiously knowing what awaits them at the end.

“...Son of man, do you see what the elders of the house of Israel are doing in the darkness, each one in the inner rooms where his idols are displayed? For they are saying, ‘Jehovah is not seeing us. Jehovah has left the land.” –Ezekiel 8:12

Yes, they may not fear Jehovah. They may not believe in his existence at all. They may think that they will never have to pay for the bad things that they have done. What evil doers living today may have forgotten to take into account though is how this time it could be different, how this time their heads could roll so much faster and more brutal than their predecessors given that at any given time, at any day today, the end could suddenly arrive. The signs are everywhere and there is no doubt that now is surely a very bad time to induce Jehovah’s anger. It is puzzling how the wicked could be so deluded so as not to see the clear ominous signs that their partying is soon to be over, replaced by the torment that will be caused by Jehovah’s fury.  It is definitely not a situation any spiritually sober person would want to be into.

Maintaining Optimum Spiritual Health at All Times

Holding on to our integrity to God is harder now more than ever. Persecutions and trials come at genuine servants of God from all directions. It is like being shot by a machine gun, where sometimes you've got no time to rest between being hit by the bullets. That is why a so-so kind of relationship with Jehovah can never be enough to help anyone survive with their integrity intact in this kind of world at this kind of time. On top of practicing long suffering, patience and endurance from persecution and from the lawlessness of the very men who claim to be shepherds of God, we as well have to maintain our integrity and maintain our good relationship with God in an unclean and morally deprived world.

Maintaining a good relationship with God requires us to be a multitasker because our job here is not just to patiently wait and endure all hardships. You could be the most patient and long suffering servant of God in this world and yet one day, in a flick of an eye, you could fall into the snare of sin like sexual immorality or materialism for example and you lose it all. You don't get to rest or tell God you're tired and maybe you could let down your guard for a moment and relax. You can't tell God to give you a discount card from trials and problems like I wrongly but understandably did in the past because you believe that you have had more than your fair share of suffering. As a Christian worshipping the true God- you know that you need to be ready and prepared for battle at all times. You do not know when problems or persecution or temptations might arrive and that knowledge should drive us to do what we can every day to make sure we don’t fail God. The Devil and his demons are very zealous and are very determined in their goal of bringing as many of us as they can with them, to doom, which I can only assume is the only thing that makes them feel better.

The life of a Christian is brutal, you can't sugarcoat that and the only way you could get to the other side is through- you have to go through it all, through all the bad and the worse and the worst.

I remember one beautiful talk a brother gave in my mother congregation around 10 years ago. I still have my notes on that talk. The topic was about what is called "sweet persecution." It was about a monkey who bravely and patiently held on the tree branch while the strong winds were violently and relentlessly rocking the tree he was in back and forth. He admirably held on for so long despite being swayed on and off by the storm. But then when the storm passed and the cool wind blew, he fell asleep, fell of the tree and died. The lesson of the story- we can be so good at enduring persecutions and sacrificing for God but failing to maintain alertness and caution at all times, we could lose everything to sin. And all your hard work for God goes down the drain and evaporates, just like that.

Others can laugh hysterically at essays like this, reminding us about the basics but what is really laughable here is how the seemingly most holy ones fail terribly at obeying the simplest of God's commandments. And that disturbing knowledge is basically what inspired me to write this essay. It is that manner of overconfidence that nullifies the long years of one's faithful service to God, the thought that we are too spiritually matured and even exceptionally knowledgeable in deep Biblical teaching that many fail to remain watchful of their thinking and actions until it hits the tipping point.

The current climate in the world today created by the provocative and  erotic nature of famous movies, explicit sexual perverse songs, immoral themed books, and mankind’s overall moral deterioration influenced by the devil and his cohorts partnered with the fact that engraved deeply on each one of us, godly or not, is the tendency to sin is a perfect concoction of danger that leads to doom and in order to win against all, one of the most important things to do is to follow the Scripture's advice to  Keep testing whether you are in the faith, keep proving what you yourselves are.”- 2 Corinthians 13:5

In a toxic world such as this, when almost everything we hear, we see or we read influences us to do what is bad, it is very vital for us to rely on Jehovah and whole heartedly admit to him and to ourselves on a daily basis that there is no way that we can remain loyal to him without his help. Like the Psalmist in the Bible, we should regularly and kindly ask God's help to detoxify our minds and hearts and to clear us of wrong thoughts that could sooner or later lead to our downfall.  –Psalms 26:2

The challenge for me, for our family, for all the Witnesses in the world today and most especially for those who were pushed out of the congregations or for some reason no longer attend meetings regularly is not just to keep their faith in God in spite of all the lies and injustices from the leadership of the organization and from their leading men, but also to follow the Bible’s admonition to do our utmost “to be found spotless and unblemished” while we are eagerly anticipating the arrival of Jehovah’s great day. As individuals proclaiming the name of Jehovah, we should not take lightly the responsibility that comes with our knowing him, our privilege of proclaiming his will and the fact that whatever we do surely reflects on his divine name that we will ultimately be held accountable for.

“Let the One Who Thinks He is Standing Beware that He Does Not Fall”

So I passed so many tests, I’ve done so many unbelievable things for Jehovah, I’ve sacrificed so many opportunities in this world for him despite of being abused by the elders and being thrown out of the congregation. I'm so good; I'll give myself a pat on the back. My job here is done and me and my family are now handed our tickets to salvation right?? NO. That's far from the truth. Our battle to remain faithful and loyal to Jehovah does not end until we pass the test during the end of 1000 years of Christ's reign and perhaps even after it. Our good relationship with God is something that we need to work on continuously and constantly, on a daily basis. It's something we can never take a vacation from. So we read the Bible today, we pray several times, fervently today, we preach and serve Jehovah today, we try our best to avoid and fight temptations today and tomorrow the clock resets again and it's a new round of battle we would have to win again and again.  There is no rest for the righteous. There is no safe period of time where we could be safe despite being careless, not now and perhaps not in even in the distant future. There is no better time to fortify our faith and work on strengthening our weaknesses than now, today and every day after that. Gehennah's door will always be open and the fact that should keep us awake is that it's not always necessarily the ones who started out wicked who are sent to it, but sometimes a person who was once righteous but careless may end up there as well.

Sinning can be addicting and could be compared to eating a famous brand of snack, "once you pop, you can't stop." And that is how a righteous but careless person could fall into the snare of sin and not be able to turn back and be redeemed.
From what we have observed, those who often fall to the snare of serious sin are not the newbies who have poor personal study habits or who aren’t that zealous in preaching, but sometimes they are the veterans, the seniors who have had more experience in faith and those who were given responsibility in the congregation or even outside, as some claim. Why? Because the more we do more for Jehovah, the longer we have served and sacrificed for him and those taking the lead over God's people are the enemies' favorite preys. They are the ones who worked so hard, were tempted a lot of times, succeeded a lot of times but perhaps were caught off guard at some point. As time pass many who have served God faithfully for a long time may begin to lose their vigilance in guarding against dangers to their spiritual health, trusting their own hearts, believing that they are already too deeply rooted spiritually to fall down. And wouldn't it be more painful and insulting if someone who has remained loyal to God for a long time and was even taking the lead among his people would be the one who would be robbed of a future of eternal life? That is exactly what would make the enemy happy.  So those taking the lead or those who consider themselves veteran in serving God should double up their guards, if they haven't fallen yet. For those who failed and are disciplined, embrace the discipline for it is God's way of showing his love and it is the only way you could regain his approval and get your names listed in the book of life. For those wondering why there are those who are never disciplined or seemingly always get away, condemnation is what awaits them and so there is no other reason why Jehovah does not bother correcting them, it is simply because they can no longer be helped.

Conclusion

It was impossible for me to write this essay without having a panic attack. This is a topic that I hate to discuss but need to.

Falling into the snare of serious sin is extremely frightening because it is exactly as the line in a song goes, "it can happen to anyone of us." Today it could be you, tomorrow it could be me. If one does not take precaution and patch up their weak spots before temptations arrive, the chances of them making it are very low.

I wrote this article especially for those who are no longer actively attending meetings or are somehow disheartened with the Organization but still try to remain faithful to Jehovah because it is people like us who are at greater risk of falling victim to the enemies' personalized and individualized schemes and snares.

Sinning may be compared to using a credit card: "Enjoy now, pay later." You may wonder though why for some such as myself, the bill for my trespasses no matter how small, is expedited. It travels through a jet plane and you can compare it to FedEx Express as it arrives very quickly while for the majority, the bills for their sins are seemingly sent only through generic postal mail and travels through a tiny fishing boat, coming from the other side of the world and when it finally arrives at its country of destination, it is held and delayed by a careful inspection of customs personnel and after finally arriving at the city’s post office, you discover that the mail is practically useless since it's  addressed to the wrong person or in short, it doesn't get to the intended recipient. For the longest time that has been the trend. The wicked always have it easy, as Asaph had observed. But for those who will be here when Christ comes, they will have a different story and everyone's bill will arrive all at the same time. This time, the wicked will not escape punishment.

Most of what I write is inspired by our own personal experiences and this foregoing essay is not any different. I had to learn it the hard way that not being careful enough and vigilant in guarding ourselves spiritually could cost us greatly. I wouldn't have seen the seriousness of the situation I was in until God had to discipline me to make me understand that my carelessness has lead me to a very dangerous situation, which I am very  grateful for him that he had saved me from. I may have built/established a commendable record of faithfulness when it comes to enduring the persecution and injustices we were made to suffer but I failed sorely at being too trusting of people that I nearly lost my chance of getting to paradise earth with my family. I was so naive so as to suppose that people are who they really say they are. I was so stupid so as to extend a great deal of kindness to a person who clearly wanted only to take advantage of me. I should have jumped off the ship at the first sign of danger but I simply didn't want to believe that someone seemingly so holy and so godly could do such a thing. And for my carelessness I was punished and I continue to pay the price. It is better this way though, to be brought low by Jehovah instead of lose everything if I get thrown in to Gehennah. My husband has always reminded me of this. Jehovah’s discipline may be painful but it is also an act of love on his part, helping us get back on the right track of living with his approval, before we stray even further.

“Station a guard for my mouth, O Jehovah, Do set a watch over the door of my lips. Do not let my heart incline to anything bad, To share in vile deeds with evil men; May I never feast on their delicacies. Should the righteous one strike me, it would be an act of loyal love; Should he reprove me, it would be like oil on my head, Which my head would never refuse.” –Psalms 141:3-5

There is just so much more to a Christian's life than I expected. It is a full time job with no vacations or sick leaves. There is not one moment where we could afford to let down our guards. The enemy and his cohorts are always on the watch, waiting and looking to seize each and every opportunity to test us and try to drag us down with them. And no matter how much we may have already saved up in heaven, in an instance, in a blink of an eye, we could lose everything.

Clearly, there is no rest for the righteous.

sigh...

Ang gusto pa nila ay best of both worlds. At pakisuyo huwag niyo akong tawaging madam o ma'am. Salamat

  2. But the naked truth is, all of us preachers, online leaders and religious leaders struggle with hypocrisy and not always practicing what we preach. I sure do. But I have good news. I’ve only known one preacher in my life who had no trace of hypocrisy and immorality. His name is Jesus. All the rest of us fall short, but Jesus never does. So put your focus and your faith in Him and his father Jehovah.

    1. We will all at some point in our lives fail Jehovah many times, it's not really a secret, Romans 3:23 quoted that. And what I wrote here does not critic human imperfection nor denies it in any way. What I have discussed here is clearly about people deliberately defying God's clear laws and affecting the faith of others and God's name too, in the process, in a negative way, which the Bible clearly condemns. We should never confuse human imperfection with willfully sinning nor should we water down the gravity of contstantly commiting acts of immorality simply because we are all imperfect and fall short of God's standards. Being imperfect and deliberately defying God's laws by living an immoral and pretentious life are two very different things. Yes, we may all have failed God in both small and big ways like I have already stated, but what separates the righteous from the wicked is their willingness to stand up and make things right every time they fall no matter how hard it may be, while the wicked stays the course and continuously and repeatedly indulges in sin. -Hebrews 10:26 "For the righteous one may fall even seven times, and he will certainly get up;but the wicked ones will be made to stumble by calamity." -Proverbs 24:16

Also, thank you for your advise but obviously if my focus wasn't on Jehovah from the very start, I wouldn't even get half way this far. Everything from the very beginning of my journey of being a Christian was nothing but rocky and tumultuous and brutal even. Had it not had been for my extraordinary faith in with him, as one had put it, from a very young age, I wouldn't have lasted this long.

    2. You know what sister you're so absolutely right about the difference of sins the one being imperfect and the other one is that you are are consious when you are doing or making it. Others are very hypocrite in generalizing sins or misdoings like what you've said watering down making the Sin's subtle in a way. Way to go don't be bullied by the trolls on the net.

  3. Matthew 23New Living Translation (NLT)

    Jesus Criticizes the Religious Leaders
23 Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, 2 “The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses.[a] 3 So practice and obey whatever they tell you, but don’t follow their example. For they don’t practice what they teach. 4 They crush people with unbearable religious demands and never lift a finger to ease the burden.

5 “Everything they do is for show. On their arms they wear extra wide prayer boxes with Scripture verses inside, and they wear robes with extra long tassels.[b] 6 And they love to sit at the head table at banquets and in the seats of honor in the synagogues. 7 They love to receive respectful greetings as they walk in the marketplaces, and to be called ‘Rabbi.’[c]

8 “Don’t let anyone call you ‘Rabbi,’ for you have only one teacher, and all of you are equal as brothers and sisters.[d] 9 And don’t address anyone here on earth as ‘Father,’ for only God in heaven is your Father. 10 And don’t let anyone call you ‘Teacher,’ for you have only one teacher, the Messiah. 11 The greatest among you must be a servant. 12 But those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

13 “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you shut the door of the Kingdom of Heaven in people’s faces. You won’t go in yourselves, and you don’t let others enter either.[e]

15 “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you cross land and sea to make one convert, and then you turn that person into twice the child of hell[f] you yourselves are!

16 “Blind guides! What sorrow awaits you! For you say that it means nothing to swear ‘by God’s Temple,’ but that it is binding to swear ‘by the gold in the Temple.’- must read for the leaders

  4. There have always been corrupt religious leaders in the world, and there always will be until Jesus Christ returns.  I’m talking about false teacher leaders, false prophets, liars, deceivers, fakes, charlatans, and hypocrites.  The Bible over and over warns us to beware of these people.

Jesus said in Matthew 24:24, “For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.”

Paul writes in 1 Timothy 4:1-2, “But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron.”

And, it is not just what they teach that is damnable, but how they live.  Peter writes in 2 Peter 2:2-3, “Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.”

It's better to confide to a Catholic priest, at least somehow there's confidentiality, they won't say things behind your back to their ....

Mahal naku baka susunod ikaw naman ang idiagnose ng mga doctor quack from the University of Perversity na mayroong personality disorder o mental illness ha simply because you saw what you saw, read what you read, and you knew what happened.

    3. That's what happens when one is hooked by the wayward woman, whose heart is like dragnets and whose hands are like "prison chains." A once honorable and wise person can change a complete 360° into someone so scary and unrecognizable. What a waste. But like you said, magpasalamat nalang ako at iniligtas Niya ko kundi we would never even have this discussion. Katakot. At least napaalalahanan tayo to be even more careful cause we witnessed what an evil influence can do to a person. Ayaw nating mangyari sa atin yun. Tama ka noong sinabi mo, I should stay away kasi may demonic influence. Just didn't want to believe it, na magiging ganoon nalang siya. Ang saklap. Bumalik siguro ang kaniyang friends from the other side.

  7. False prophets are particularly dangerous because they appear to be genuine. They seemingly have the credentials of authority. What are these credentials? Jesus calls them ‘sheep’s clothing’ (verse 15).

[“He said that the false prophets were like wolves in sheep’s clothing. When the shepherd watched his flocks upon the hillside, his garment was a sheepskin, worn with the skin outside and the fleece inside. But a man might wear a shepherd’s dress and still not be a shepherd "like ERK"- UKman

  8. Satan cannot create; that power belongs to God alone. So he perverts what God has created. If he can entice God’s most cherished creations to follow him in his twisted ideas, he succeeds in perverting the image of God we were designed to magnify (1 Corinthians 11:7). It is Satan who introduced the idea that perversion equals freedom. But he knows quite well that perversion is a slippery path that leads to bondage and then death (Romans 2:5–8; 2 Peter 2:19). By perverting sexuality, speech, or justice, we mar the likeness of God in our own lives. But by using God’s gifts in the way He intended them to be used, we find true freedom and can enjoy a healthy relationship with God (Psalm 24:3–4; Matthew 5:8; Galatians 5:1).-77

    1. Thank you for that beautiful comment.

It is sad how easily a human mind can be corrupted, how easily we could all render useless the years or even decades of our faithful service to God for a few stolen moments of sin. It is scary too that it can happen to anyone of us at anytime and like you said, how we could be enslaved by sin.

Sometimes I still can't wrap my head around the idea that we people are just so easy to corrupt. Satan is just too good at selling us things we don't really need in an exchange for a very great price. And it seems that many aren't that good in simple and basic Math- computing the cost vs the benefits. Truly it is our good relation with Jehovah God that is most important in our lives because without it we have no hope for a better life, no hope of a future and yet many could so easily give up His approval for the pettiest things that they don't even need.

But when the time comes when they are about to pay the price can they really say that perversion brought them freedom or brought them to their doom? Is it something that they will call worth it or is it something they wished they just never did?

  9. Jax- The Prophet claims to be gifted by God to speak fresh revelation outside of Scripture—new, authoritative words of prediction, teaching, rebuke, or encouragement. In reality, though, he is commissioned and empowered by Satan for the purpose of misleading and disrupting Christ’s church. John offered an urgent warning about him. “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world” (1 John 4:1). Christians must “test the spirits” to determine if they originate with the Holy Spirit or with a demonic spirit. Later, John declared that God has spoken fully and finally in Scripture and offered the most solemn warning against anyone who claims to bring revelation equal or contrary to Scripture. “I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book” (Revelation 22:18-19).

    1. I appreciate your comment but I just do not think it quite fits in with the idea that I was trying to express here in my essay.

My point here was pretty simple, I wasn't talking about false prophets or false teachers misleading or disrupting Christ's or God's congregation. All I wanted to point out was how difficult the battle is to maintain moral cleanliness and godly integrity for all of those who consider themselves Christians in our present time. I also clearly pointed out how a once righteous and honorable person could change into a totally opposite person in just a short period of time. But if it isn't obvious yet, let me clarify that whatever I have put out here in this humble little blog, I stand for completely, even now. Everything that I know and have learned to be right and truth, beneficial and in harmony with the Bible, either from the Jehovah's Witness Organization or from another Jehovah's Witness related website that I was formerly affiliated with, I still promote and completely stand for. After all no church, religion or human organization could perfection ever be expected from. Looking back at the example of most ancient kings mentioned in the Bible whom God had even personally hand-picked and appointed, hadn't they failed epically one way or another as we can clearly read in the Scriptures? King Saul lost God's holy spirit and was condemned after he lost self-control and became jealous to the point of even attempting murder several times. King David took the wife of Uria, and even had him killed in the effort to try to cover up what he had done. David's son, King Solomon may have been very wise and was at some point very pleasing in the eyes of God but what became of him after? -He took many foreign wives and concubines, became an idol worshiper and had eventually lost God's approval. Do those outcomes mean that it is in fact Satan who picked these kings and not God, simply because they have committed a lot of serious wrong doings? Their mistakes do not nullify the value of the Books in the Bible that they may have written nor does it mean that God's purpose have failed. God may pick the most upright person on earth to do whatever it is He intends to accomplish but Jehovah will not remove one's free will. Anyone can decide to do evil and become wicked at any point in their lives. Even the most righteous ones on the earth right now can change overnight, if they wish to, if they let temptations win over them and if they give the Devil the opportunity. The leadership of the Jehovah's Witness Organization for example has their own stunning reputation of hypocrisy, falsity and abusiveness against their own members which is now very known worldwide, just like most mainstream religions out there, if not worse so can you not say the same things about them as you did in your comment about someone? Is not the JW Organization a laughing stock itself in front of the whole world for their famous failed end of the world predictions how about their handling and treatment of child abuse cases and victims?

    2. I have nothing against the verses that you have mentioned like the Bible's admonition in 1 John 4:1 to "test every inspired statement" because obviously it is correct and should be heeded by all who are lovers and seekers of truth. But when one goes as far as to point their finger against someone calling him/her as commissioned and empowered by Satan, misleading and disruptive, well I don't think that is something that can be called appropriate most especially considering that that was not the point of my essay at all in which you have commented on.

But well we are entitled to our own opinions. I just needed to clarify to you and to the other readers of this blog that that is not necessarily how I view things and whatever you may have mentioned in your comment is your opinion alone.

One of the things me and my husband have learned in all these years is to "accept the good and reject the bad." That is how we learn and we grow in life and that is how we managed to continue worshiping the true God despite the unacceptable oppression and injustices that the JW Organization and another similar website have made us experience.

Isn't that the main point Jesus is supposed to be king and have a second coming, and the purpose for which the Kingdom of God was planned in the first place, to finally, govern the entire earth of meek ones with love, justice and peace which we undeniably are not experiencing in any place right now?

    1. Found out? definitely but it shouldn't just end there.

When something so wrong and so despicable is being done to the point that it adversely affects the faith and spiritual and mental well being of not just a person but a couple or a what more a family and most especially when God's name is involved and being dragged by reckless and selfish individuals for their own personal gain, there should be serious repercussion for such actions, should there be not?. What did Jesus say in Matthew 18:6? "But whoever stumbles one of these little ones who have faith in me, it would be better for him to have hung around his neck a millstone that is turned by a donkey and to be sunk in the open sea." My essay does not even do justice to the suffering that we have gone through that was caused by some individuals' perversity. And although surely nothing good awaits them at the end, but for now I will not sit here idly while they continue to profane God's holy name and cowardly pin the blame on others.

What they sow, they should certainly reap.

    3. Yes it would have been better for the world if they just did that but they won't for sure cause people like them have not an ounce of remorse in their bodies. For their part, they know they are doomed and they're determined to make the most out of their situation by indulging in repetitive sin. But I do fervently pray that may Jehovah's hands be upon me and empower me to bring the whole truth to light and expose them for who they really are. Maybe then I can spare a few other souls from being stumbled or falling to their snares and going through what we went through.

The wicked will not always escape the consequences of their actions- that is what I'm determined to make them know.
